Description
This Orchestra, also called “Stanton Big Band” is one of the most interesting ensembles of it’s kind. Since the early 1970 ties a group of musicians from Vienna dedicated their music to the greatest big band artists like Count Basie, Lionell Hampton and many others. Still existing and playing, this band over the decades played together with musicians like Varren Vache or even the great Eddie Lockjaw Davis, and – though most of the band members beeing amateurs – achieved an impressive professional level. This CD impresses with dedication and thriving, swinging groove.
